Roman shades bring the softness of fabric to your windows while still giving you real control over light, privacy, and everyday comfort. We help homeowners throughout Lafayette and nearby Acadiana communities choose a style that fits their windows, their interior design, and how they actually use each room.

The right fit depends on more than appearance alone. Fabric weight, fold style, window size, and the room’s purpose all shape how the finished treatment looks and functions — a bedroom might call for a fabric that creates more privacy after dark, while a living space often needs something that softens bright sunlight without making the room feel closed in. Homes near the Vermilion River often deal with strong reflected light off the water in the afternoon, while historic downtown properties near Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist tend to have taller, more traditional window proportions that benefit from a tailored fold style.

Why Choose Roman Shades for Your Home?

Roman shades provide decorative appeal, flexible light management, and a custom fit for different rooms throughout your home. Their combination of fabric options and operating choices makes them a versatile window treatment.

A Softer Alternative to Hard Window Coverings

Fabric Roman shades add warmth and texture that can make a room feel more finished. They work especially well in spaces where you want your window treatments to contribute to the overall design rather than simply provide coverage.

Better Control Over Sunlight and Privacy

Roman shades are available in different fabric opacities to help manage incoming light. Light-filtering materials can soften harsh sunlight, while more opaque fabrics can provide additional privacy for bedrooms and other personal spaces.

A Custom Fit for Your Windows

Professionally measured Roman shades are built around your window dimensions instead of relying on standard sizes. This helps create a cleaner appearance with proper alignment and a more intentional finished look.
