Our Story: From Frustrated Homeowners to Your Local Experts
We got into this business the same way many of our customers find us: we couldn’t find quality window coverings for our own home. So in 2022, we bought Made in the Shade Lafayette and set out to give Acadiana homeowners the experience we wished we’d had.
Alyson has called the Lafayette area home for more than 40 years. She knows these neighborhoods, these homes, and how much the afternoon sun can heat up a west-facing room. She brings the organization and customer care that keep every project on track, from your first call to the final walkthrough.
Marc moved to Lafayette from North Carolina over a decade ago. Before that, he spent more than ten years traveling with NASCAR as a pit crew mechanic for Richard Petty’s #43 car. A pit crew can’t afford to be off by a fraction of an inch, and Marc brings that same precision to every window he measures and installs.
