Industry-Leading Brands

We partner with top-tier manufacturers to bring premium, energy-efficient shade technology to Acadiana at highly competitive pricing, passing the savings right to you!

We Measure and Install

Skip the DIY stress. Our locally-based Lafayette professionals meticulously measure and install every shade for a flawless, custom fit in every window.

About Us

Made in the Shade Lafayette helps homeowners throughout Acadiana find window treatments that complement their homes, daily routines, and design goals. Founded by Alyson and Marc Bundy in 2022, our locally owned company was built around a simple idea: clients deserve guidance from people who take the time to understand their needs before recommending a solution. From charming older homes with distinctive windows to newer spaces with expansive glass, every home calls for a slightly different approach. Our team brings samples to your home, takes careful measurements, and walks you through options that make sense for your space before handling professional installation. We’re committed to creating window solutions that suit the way homeowners live—a commitment recognized through Acadiana’s Choice awards in 2024 and 2025. Throughout the process, we aim to make choosing and installing your window treatments feel straightforward and enjoyable.

Service Areas

We serve homeowners throughout Acadiana, from Lafayette and Broussard to Scott, Carencro, Youngsville, Breaux Bridge, St. Martinville, River Ranch, and nearby communities. We work with a wide range of homes and interior styles, bringing thoughtful window treatment options to each neighborhood we serve. We can help you explore fabrics, opacity levels, and operating options to find a shade that fits the way you use each room.

Shutters

Shutters bring a classic, built-in look to your windows while giving you control over light, privacy, and airflow. Wood and composite options offer different looks and performance benefits, making them suitable for a variety of rooms and design styles. Explore shutter options that add lasting character while complementing your interior.

Blinds

Blinds provide precise control over light and privacy with styles suited to different rooms and preferences. Choose from wood, faux wood, vertical, and aluminum options in a range of finishes and slat sizes. Whether you prefer a warm natural look or a clean, streamlined design, there are options to suit your home.

Outdoor Shades

Make more of your outdoor areas with shading options that help reduce harsh sunlight and create a more comfortable setting. Exterior shades and retractable awnings can be used on patios, porches, decks, pergolas, and outdoor kitchens. Different materials and operating styles allow you to create an outdoor area that works for relaxing, dining, or entertaining.

Drapery

Drapery brings softness, texture, and dimension to a room while offering another way to manage natural light. Panels can be tailored to your window size, fullness, fabric, and lining preferences. From understated designs to more dramatic looks, fabric treatments can add a distinctive element to your interiors.

Decorative Grilles

Decorative grilles add architectural interest to windows and other areas where you want a more distinctive design element. With different patterns and finishes available, they can complement existing details or introduce a new visual feature. They’re an easy way to add personality and character without changing the overall feel of a room.

I love my shades! The entire process from Made in the Shade was on point and stress free. Alyson was knowledgeable, patient, kind and honest, a true professional in every sense of the word. She guided, but was never “pushy”, about selections and was willing to admit when we would be better off doing something on our own. Our order came on time, and the installation was done quickly and with precision. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

Alyson and Marc were great to work with. We had unusual requests and tastes for this area and Alyson made it happen. Our extra tall windows didn't phase them. We are so happy with all of our drapes, blinds and shutters. We definitely recommend them!

The fact that they come to my home and measure and bring samples for me to choose from made this so easy and I need easy! The install was quick and done perfectly. I couldn't be happier with the service and quality of my blinds. My only regret is that I didn't do this years ago. It has really changed the look of my living room and I enjoy my space so much more now. So don't wait, get it done!
