Built to Survive South Louisiana
South Louisiana humidity and UV are tougher on window treatments than almost anywhere in the country. We recommend materials that hold up here: moisture-resistant composite shutters for kitchens and baths, UV-blocking solar shades for sun-facing rooms, and fabrics that resist fading.

Custom Window Fashions for Every South Louisiana Home
The right window treatment does more than match your Youngsville farmhouse or Breaux Bridge cottage. It protects your floors from fading, gives you privacy, and helps keep LUS and SLEMCO bills in check. From classic plantation shutters to motorized smart shades, we make every piece to your exact measurements.
Shades
Your First Defense Against the Acadiana Sun
Solar shades filter UV rays that fade floors and furniture while keeping your view of the live oaks. Cellular shades trap air in their honeycomb cells to keep cool air inside where it belongs throughout the long Acadiana summer.
Shutters
South Louisiana's Most Timeless Window Treatment
Plantation shutters are part of the South’s architectural DNA. They fit a classic Broussard Acadian cottage as naturally as a new Youngsville build. Composite shutters resist humidity, and real wood adds warmth to living spaces. Both are a permanent upgrade buyers notice.
Blinds
Custom Blinds for Every Acadiana Home
From new subdivisions in Youngsville, Carencro, and Scott to established Lafayette neighborhoods, our blinds fit every style. Faux wood blinds resist warping in bathroom and kitchen humidity. Real wood blinds add premium warmth.
Outdoor Shades
Because Galleries and Back Porches Deserve Year-Round Use
The front gallery and back porch are central to Acadiana living. Exterior shades cut glare, block most UV rays, and make outdoor spaces usable even in July. Retractable awnings with wind sensors cover open patios from Lafayette to Abbeville
Drapery
Southern Elegance for Acadiana's Finest Interiors
Custom drapery adds the layered softness South Louisiana homes are known for. Lined panels add insulation, and blackout lining blocks early-morning sun from the bedroom. Choose from thousands of fabrics, brought right to your home.
Decorative Grilles
Old World Louisiana Character
Inspired by the cast-iron galleries of the French Quarter and historic Breaux Bridge, Tableaux faux iron grilles bring that character to windows, entry glass, and transoms — without the weight or rust of real iron. Custom-cut to any shape, including arched windows.

We bring Hunter Douglas, Graber, Spring Window Fashions, Norman, Horizons, Insolroll, Alta, Eclipse, Somfy, and Sunpro collections to homes across Lafayette Parish and Acadiana. Precision Measurement and Installation

South Louisiana Climate Expertise
We recommend products for how they’ll hold up here: solar shades for year-round UV, composite shutters for bathrooms and porch-side rooms where real wood can warp.
Warranties That Hold Up
Many of our shutters and shades carry limited lifetime warranties, because Acadiana’s humidity, UV, and heat demand materials built to last.

Custom Window Treatment FAQs for Lafayette and Acadiana
What window treatments work best for South Louisiana's heat and humidity?
Solar shades and composite plantation shutters. Solar shades block the UV rays that fade floors and furniture while keeping your view. Composite shutters are made of moisture-resistant polymer that won’t warp in Acadiana’s year-round humidity, so they’re ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and porch-side rooms. For lower LUS and SLEMCO bills, cellular shades are the top choice: their honeycomb cells trap air and reduce heat gain through the glass.
Will window treatments lower my LUS or SLEMCO bill?
They can. Most summer heat gain comes through windows, so insulating treatments like cellular shades, lined drapery, and shutters reduce how hard your AC has to work. Savings depend on your home, window direction, and the product you choose. Your consultant can recommend the most efficient option for your sunniest rooms.
What areas in Acadiana do you serve?

How does the free in-home consultation work?
Book online or call us. A design consultant comes to your home with samples, talks through your goals and budget, measures your windows, and gives you a quote. Most visits take about 90 minutes. There’s no cost and no obligation.
Are plantation shutters a good choice for Acadiana homes?
Yes. Shutters suit both classic Acadian and new-construction homes, offer strong privacy and light control, and are one of the few window treatments buyers see as a permanent upgrade. Choose composite in humid rooms and real wood in living areas.
Are motorized shades worth it in Lafayette?
For hard-to-reach windows, large glass walls, and rooms that get afternoon sun, yes. You can schedule shades to close before peak heat, control them from your phone, and remove cords for child and pet safety. Our systems integrate with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit. We program every system during installation.
Do I need to measure my own windows?
No. We measure every window ourselves and install everything we sell, so the fit is guaranteed. If something isn’t right, we fix it at no cost.No. We measure every window ourselves and install everything we sell, so the fit is guaranteed. If something isn’t right, we fix it at no cost.
